To be able to travel abroad with your pet (dog, cat or rodent) there are certain rules. These rules differ for different countries. As a general rule there are a few things you need to think of.

1. Be prepared. Some countries have rules that take (a lot of) time.

2. Make sure all papers are up to date. Especially when your pet had not be treated with us before we need proof of all treatments done.

3. You can find a lot of information online. Below you find links to these websites. Sometimes there is no information available. In those cases you should contact the Embassy of the country you are travelling to.

To be able to travel with your pet inside the European Union you need a special European passport. Furthermore vaccination against rabies (not older than three years) and an ID chip are mandatory. Some countries have appending rules. The rules for travelling to countries within the EU can be found here. The United Kingdom, although no longer part of the EU is also included here.

Information for owners, coming from abroad and applying for an European Passport.

To be able to travel within the European Union you need to have an European Passport. To obtain this passport you need to schedule an appointment for a ‘consult health certificate’ through our website. This can be done with our online bookingsystem.

During this consult we will examine your pet and (if necessary) treat for parasites. We will issue the passport during the consult. For this we need:

1. proof of vaccinations

2. a health certificate from the country you are oming from

3. an owners declaration

4. proof of bloodtest on rabies antibodies (depending on where you are coming from)

Total cost for this consult is 83,90 euro, excluding anti parasitic treatments.
